This was the perfect start.
A girl and her dog on a sunny day in the park.
I wanted to capture the dog leaping into the air. There was a lot to think about as I had all the settings on manual. Composition, light, focus, aaarrrrgh
I was really happy with these, the colours are very accurate and I decided to over expose a little bit to get the detail on the black fur.
Here I tried to get some depth of field using my new telephoto lens.
It's a challenge to capture the moment, but I really like these, I haven't cropped them, I just worked really tight and tried to create strong compositions with no idea how they would turn out.
Here I was experimenting with colour I wanted to get the colours of the trousers right and I like the contrast with the green foliage.
Finally I got the dog in flight, but she leapt too high. The one on the right is overexposed but I loved the expression.
I'm a real fan of out of focus pictures as they add mystery. I want to work with this idea more.
